WWW: Nice opening shots- I like the high angle and the heartbeat SFX adds to the tension. Also 180 degree rule is followed very well
EBI: Match-on-action is just a bit off and audio levels need to be fixed due to the conversation not being heard until the final line. There are also a couple of missed opportunities to demonstrate match-on-action

WWW: Effective use of heartbeat to build tension. Good clips and angles used that meet the brief as well as the accurate use of the 180 degree rule
EBI: Audio levels need adjusting so that the conversation can be heard all the way through
3) Now reflect on your video. Did you meet the brief and successfully include the three key editing aspects we have learned?
I believe that I met the brief quite well as I accurately used the 180 degree rule to convey a conversation between two people as well as displaying the use of match-on-action and shot-reverse shot
4) What were the strengths and weaknesses of your final film? Write a detailed analysis picking out specific shots, edits and any other aspect of film language you think is relevant.
I think that I successfully used a range of angles and camera movements in my final editing piece- especially at the start where there was a transition from a medium shot to a wide shot and then to a close-up. I believe this is able to successfully demonstrate my understanding of camera angles. There is also an example of a pan where the camera follows the character as they walk through the door. The room that the scene takes place in a somewhat dark room and perhaps this adds mystery to the scene because we are unsure of why the second character is being questioned about the murder. I also think that the use of the heartbeat SFX in the background adds tension to the scene and reflects the nerves that the characters are feeling
5) Learner response: what aspect of editing did you find most difficult? What have you learned from this process that will help you when you start the actual coursework later this year?
I found the audio the most difficult part of this editing task because I made the dialogue too quiet and it couldn't be heard until the last line and then the last line was delivered too loudly so now I know to work on my audio levels so that it isn't a distraction from the rest of the video
